Our views on the V8:

There isn’t much to say about the GT V8. It is by far the most accomplished and most impressive MGB. The car’s acceleration is particularly good and with its near perfect weight distribution, the handling is better than that of the MGC for example. It is also the rarest of all the MGB family.

Open air motoring is not an option, though. As it was only made in GT form. You could also criticize it for not having as much charm as an MGC GT, which has all the classic MGB credentials, such as leather seats, wire wheels and a chrome grille. But it is all a question of choice and as a drivers car, the GT V8 is probably the best B.
